Medicare is a program administered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The program has four main parts, hospital insurance, medical insurance, advantage plans, and prescription drug coverage.

Part B helps cover doctor services and outpatient care. This part of Medicare also covers durable medical equipment that your doctor prescribes for use in your home. If you are prescribed a walker, wheelchair, nebulizer, hospital bed or any other item of durable medical equipment, some or all of the cost of the item may be covered by Medicare Part B.

Back in the Saddle...

After a very looonnnggg trip back to Missouri, I am back in the office. We endured mechanical breakdowns, a U-Haul rental, towing, repairs, and a 2 person truck cab packed with 2 adults and 2 large border collies. Cozy to say the least!

BILL RIGHT has been nominated for two awards to be presented at the 2010 Cuba Area Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet. We have been nominated for the:

Entrepreneur Award - The Entrepreneur Award is presented each year to a Chamber member who has demonstrated true enterprising spirit in the creation or retention of jobs in the Cuba area.

Rookie of the Year Award - The Rookie of the Year Award is presented each year to a Chamber member business owner that began operating a business in Cuba during the period of January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009. The new venture provides employment for several local residents and may introduce new industry to Cuba.

It is quite an honor to be recognized by our business peers! Wish us luck at the awards ceremony.

April Update

Sunny weather and warm temperatures have arrived. We head back to Cuba on April 12th and will be in the office on the 18th. This month we will unveil our new redesigned website, thanks to our friend and webmaster expert Todd Machiela of machiela.org.

We will also launch our new online service called "Online Advocate". My next blog post will provide details on this exciting option for those consumers who need medical bill help and assistance.

Also, we are busy organizing the Cuba Community Health Fair scheduled for Saturday, May 8th at the Resource Center from 9am - 3pm.

Warmer weather has finally arrived and in celebration of the advent of Spring, Bill Right offers special Spring 2010 pricing for our services beginning March 1, ,2010. We will begin the trip back to Missouri in early April and look forward to a busy summer helping patients reduce their medical bills and stress level.

Our plans also include parking the RV on the hilltop in Huzzah.

A GREAT STATISTIC!

Last year we saved our patient clients an average of 35% on their medical bills.

We are very proud of this statistic and of course our clients are very happy too. Area hospitals, clinics, doctors and both Medicare and Medicaid have been really supportive of the work BILL RIGHT has accomplished on behalf of our clients. As our client's personal representative, we identified numerous billing errors, overcharges, and coverage denials that were corrected.

Sometimes a patient contacts us only after their medical bills have been referred to a collection agency. We were very succesful in stopping collection calls, eliminating incorrect charges and reducing claims amounts.

It has been our pleasure to not only reduce our patient client total medical costs, but to reduce their stress and frustations at the same time.

Even though I am currently in Orlando staying warm, Mary is doing a great job working with our clients and I will be back as soon as Spring comes. One thing I enjoy the most about our services is that we can help people with their medical bill issues from Cuba or Orlando or anywhere there is an internet connection.
We have improved the layout of our newspaper advertisement and it will debut in the local papers during the first week of January.
On March 1st, I will be the featured speaker for the Central Florida Pulmonary Hypertension support group at Lakeland, Florida.

On November 3rd, BILL RIGHT will host a mixer for local businesses to showcase our new office. There will be light refreshments and great conversation from 5pm till 7pm.

Our patient services team continues to focus on helping individuals and their families sort through all those bills.
